Taken in the summer of 1991, this black and white 35mm shot was enlarged, developed and left in the darkroom in a stack of test prints. Subtle re-exposures and chemical spills transformed the image over time. While none of the more proper, better prints still exist, I have held onto this work. Somehow the secondary process of its making – hidden and circumstantial – illuminated something far more evocative of the moment I originally intended to capture than what actually, primarily, was.
The frame was found in the trash on Neville St. years later.
